Hi.
The webmaster here.

Just received the following E-Mail from fellow Mercyful Fate / King Diamond band
member Timi Hansen.

Hi Timi here.

Michael Denner's been one of my best friends, since the age of 15-17.
He's always been a great guy, with a contagious sense of humor.

He's always ready, if a buddy is needed.

As a musician, I will categorize him as a super guitarist, who is able to put a special
feeling into his solo's.

His collaborations with Hank Shermann, have always been considered as being one of the best guitar duo's on the planet.

I can fully back that up. Hank's the aggressive guitar player, whereas Denner is the
player with the exceptional feeling.

Oh the harmonies they do together are so cool.

Its always a pleasure to be around Michael.

Even though time might pass, without us keeping in touch, I regard him as one of my
closest friends.

Best wishes from Timi.

Hi-Webmaster Drew here.........

I just received an e-mail from former Mercyful Fate/King Diamond Drummer Snowy Shaw:

I was asked to say a few words and sat down to write a few lines about my dear friend Michael Denner,.. or

Uncle Denner (as he calls himself in my company) and myself always had some sort of bond and connected immediately from the first time we met
and developed later when I joined the Mercyful Fate reunion.

He's one of the nicest, warmest and most kind gentlemen I've ever met and always has a smile on his face. Not that pious silly "found God" face but with great depth behind it all, as of a man who has gone through hard times and a few rough patches in his life and have learned to appreciate the little things in life.

Always loved his solos, Denner has his very own unique signature style and sound, which is a quality that I always look for in any musician, that you can easily pick them out from the rest.
what I would best describe as The Hannover guitarist tradition but with his own very danish touch to it.

When I first fell in love with the Melissa album at the age of 14, with its combination of ultra heavy, evil and bizarre yet melodic and pop oriented music, I had no clue of who was who?

Later on I found out that Hank was the riff maestro but Denner was definately the man behind those melodic melancholic wailing killer solos, a great formula that created that special Mercyful Fate sound. Needless to say, King's vocals and whole approach meant a great deal to the whole thing of course,…
